The Duo Larme Émeraude Asymmetric Pendant Necklace is Svora’s most considered, most quietly daring, and most completely resolved green necklace — a piece whose genius lies entirely in a single design decision: two identical pear-cut emerald green crystals, bezel-set in warm 18K gold, hanging at two different heights from the same bail. One higher. One lower. The asymmetry is deliberate, composed, and completely intentional — and it transforms two simple pendants into a jewellery composition of extraordinary sophistication.
The bail is the architectural heart of this piece: a smooth, polished gold rectangular tube through which the flat snake chain passes directly, threading through the bail rather than hanging from it, so that the bail sits flush against the chain and the two pendant drops hang below it as a single, unified centrepiece. The bail is substantial and considered — its rectangular form a clean, architectural counterpoint to the organic pear curves of the two crystal pendants below it.
From the bail, two emerald green pear-cut crystals descend at asymmetric lengths. The first hangs directly from the bail on a short gold jump ring — its bezel-set pear crystal sitting close to the bail, its green fire immediate and intimate. The second descends on a delicate gold cable chain — three or four fine links that lower the second pendant below the first, creating a deliberate vertical offset between the two teardrops. The result is a pendant composition of two green pears at two heights — the upper pear smaller in apparent scale, the lower pear larger and more dominant, the two together creating a cascading, asymmetric drop that moves with the body and catches the light from two different angles simultaneously.
The crystals themselves are extraordinary. Each one is a faceted pear-cut in the deepest, most luminous emerald green — its facets brilliant and deep, its colour the precise green of a fine tsavorite garnet, of a Colombian emerald, of the most coveted green stone in the world. Set within a smooth, continuous gold bezel that follows every curve of the pear form with seamless precision, each crystal is framed in warm gold with the quiet confidence of a fine jewellery piece. The flat, mirror-polished 18K gold-plated snake chain threads through the bail and lies against the skin with the smoothness of liquid metal, its lobster clasp and curb-link extender chain allowing the necklace to be worn at multiple lengths. On the mannequin, the two emerald pears hang at the perfect collarbone-to-sternum length — the upper crystal at the collarbone, the lower crystal at the sternum, the two green teardrops glowing against warm skin in a composition of breathtaking, effortless beauty.
The Duo Larme Émeraude is the centrepiece of the Svora Emerald Green Edit — the necklace that unites the Pistache Cabochon Pendant, the Émeraude Coeur Lariat, and the Pluie Verte Charm Necklace into a single, cohesive green and gold story. Wear it alone as your most quietly extraordinary everyday piece, or layer it with the Perle Bolo Lariat for a full gold and green neck stack. The necklace that makes every other green necklace look like it is trying too hard.
